How to Play

The basics

Every round shows a heavily zoomed-in crop of a country's flag, taken from a random position each time. Your job is to guess which country it belongs to. Type a country name in the guess box, or pick one from the autocomplete suggestions, and hit Guess.

Hints

Every guess you make reveals a row of hints, even if it's wrong — this is how you narrow things down. Each hint is color-coded:

• Green — that attribute matches the correct answer
• Red — that attribute doesn't match

The hints cover continent, starting letter, ending letter, whether the country is coastal or landlocked, and its capital city — enough clues to zero in on the answer within a few guesses.

Difficulty levels

• Easy — no time limit, a gentler zoom level
• Medium — 30 seconds per round, a tighter zoom
• Hard — 20 seconds per round, the tightest zoom

If the timer runs out before you guess correctly, the round ends, the flag is revealed, and you move on to the next one — no points awarded for that round.

Rounds and scoring

Choose 5 or 10 rounds when you start a game. Your score is the number of rounds you guessed correctly out of the total. At the end, you can share your result — it turns into a simple emoji grid you can post anywhere, similar to daily word-guessing games.
